  • As a Race to the Top (RttT) partner with the Ohio Department of Education, Miami University and The Ohio State University, PPSGC facilitated parent leadership training in nine school locations across the state serving over 500 parents / families. Many of these parents are now serving on building leadership teams to assist in creating a positive school culture and encouraging other parents / families to take a more proactive role in their student(s) education. 
  • As a partner with the Mayerson Academy, PPSGC has facilitated parent leadership training to 168 Cincinnati Public School parents. Through action based projects these parents have reached another 2,012 parents, 4,406 students, 479 teachers and 40 administrators. 
  • As a Gaining Early Awareness & Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEARUP) partner with the University of Cincinnati’s CECH PASS Program, PPSGC has assisted over 2,500 parents / families build college and career ready cultures in their homes. 
  • At our Annual Fall Luncheon in 2013, PPSGC hosted Anne T. Henderson, author of Beyond the Bake Sale: The Essential Guide to Family-School Partnerships as the keynote speaker. Having a national author speak to the effectiveness of using parent engagement as a school improvement strategy was a huge win for our chapter. 
  • PPSGC is also well versed in hosting Town Halls, Community Conversations and School Board Candidates’ Forums – We have co-sponsored community discussions with the following groups: Cincinnati Public Schools, Cincinnati Federation of Teachers and the STRIVE Partnership to name a few. 
  • Our newest program Parent Engagement Programs (PEP) builds learning communities to strengthen student outcomes in public schools. These communities can include students, parents / families, teachers, administrators, faith based, business and other partner organizations. 
  • Former sponsor of a weekly radio show “Class is in Session” on station 1230 AM the Buzz in Cincinnati a collaboration with Strive Partnership. 
  • Annually host the Pillars of Excellence Awards ceremony at Cincinnati Public Schools to honor the Valedictorians and Salutatorians represented from each Cincinnati Public Schools. 
  • In 2018 we facilitated Diversity and Inclusion workshops also with students at Gamble Junior High school  
  • In 2019 PPSGC facilitated workshops for our Parent Leadership University (PLU) 
  • In 2019 we participated in the Anti- Bullying Community forums to discuss solutions and interventions to eliminate bullying in schools.
